The nose opens with ripe black fruit — blackcurrant, blackberry, plum — layered with hints of cassis, bay leaf, and cocoa-inflected oak. On the palate it shows full body with smooth, rounded yet firm tannins, balanced acidity and a lush texture; flavour notes include dark berries, cherry, a touch of leather, graphite and subtle spice/pepper. The oak influence contributes vanilla-toffee and caramel touches into the finish, which is long and persistent.
