On the nose it opens with blackberries, plums and dark cherries, alongside spicy touches of black pepper and cloves, then subtle vegetal hints (red pepper leaf or dill) typical of Carménère.
On the palate it shows medium-to-full body, smooth and ripe tannins, fresh acidity and flavours of juicy dark fruit, cocoa powder or dark chocolate, and a lightly smoky/graphite finish. The finish lingers with herbaceous and peppery notes, and the overall balance is quite good—fruit-driven yet with that characteristic Carménère “green leaf / pepper” edge. It’s best enjoyed now to within the next ~5-8 years, paired with grilled red meats, barbecue, rich stews or aged cheeses.
